Module Goals:

This module focuses on processes for both storing information and retrieving it. Memory enhancement techniques, or mnemonics, help students remember new concepts, lists, and sequences of information. More than rote memorization, these techniques help students place information into long-term memory, something which is essential for building a base of knowledge for stronger reading comprehension and learning.

Our learning goals for this module are:

  • Faculty will gain an awareness of mnemonic techniques and how they can aid reading comprehension.
  • Faculty will learn application strategies that can be easily employed in the classroom and individually.
