Strategy #2: Analyzing for pathos

The second rhetorical appeal we'll discuss, pathos, employs emotions and values to persuade an audience. Advertising is especially good at using pathos to persuade the viewer to purchase a product or service. However, there are also appropriate moments for appeals to pathos in persuasive academic writing. These might include appeals to social responsibility and insecurities.

Needs

include appeals to safety, sustenance, good health, respect, and so on.

We can set a good example for our children if we vote and take them to the polls with us.
