Strategy #5: Developing reading questions

Using an assigned reading, ask groups to prepare questions for the class. The questions can be collected and distributed among class members. Some of these questions could even appear on future exams.

This is a way for students to "dialogue" with the text and each other as they come up with pertinent questions about the reading. During this process, students will be able to clarify their understanding of the reading with each other.
