8. Naturalist Intelligence
Naturalist intelligence is the ability to:
- Recognize and categorize plants, animals and other objects in nature.
- Have the mental tools to draw on patterns and designs in nature as a way to see real world problems.
- Propose nature-related solutions for economic growth.
Note: Naturalist intelligence was not recognized as part of Gardner's original theory. It has been criticized as not really indicative of an intelligence and better described as just an interest.
