Module Four: Promoting Successful Academic Behavior

Promoting Successful Academic Behavior

The purpose of this module is to provide a framework for integrating pathways to student success, delineates suggestions on methods of enhancing student engagement and promoting faculty-student interaction. We focus here on how school and university resources/centers can be advantageously used by students to improve the quality of their assignments. Expert professors share their insights on questions that may arise in the minds of students.

At the end of this module, you will be able to do the following:

  • Strategize online processes for student success
  • Learn teacher-based initiatives for student success
  • List student-centered ways to develop strong academic work ethic
  • Apply institutional systematic approaches to ensure positive campus culture

By promoting successful academic behavior, teachers enable their students to maximize educational success. These teachers use well-reasoned strategies to help students navigate the roadblocks. For example, effective teachers communicate clearly and often with their students—no matter the learning environment. However, students must learn to function effectively on their own and successful teachers accept this challenge to help students develop the necessary skills to succeed.
